Have you ever had a Physics lecturer who after describing Newton as someone who discovered the apple through gravity and later ask you what would happen if you were to dig a hole passing through the centre of the Earth and drop an apple into that 1.27 x 10^4 m hole?
I guess an apple pie will come out of the South Pole then...
The once soporific lecturer finally managed to keep me awake by teaching me dynamics. At least he left a lasting impression during his last lesson with us.
