A chat with Sue Ann yesterday night triggers thoughts on SEJARAH... the much dreaded subject which all Malaysians students whether young, old, cute, not cute, handsome or ugly, nerd or gangster MUST take... the memories of it brings back memories of memorising...
I spent some time googling this... and very interesting writings and art I found. Perhaps Sejarah has some ghost function (yao guai yong ady-lah!) finally. All those writings spurred much inspiration as it did on my SPM English Paper One essay. Tomorrow. I imagined a world of not studying Sejarah. The world when sejarah = History!!!... and the next thing I knew was I was history. The stupid Sejarah Paper Two which came after my jolly-happy-happy English Paper was SO JAHILIAH = stupid!!! KBKK questions which really really stupid-and-need-to-follow-textbook-EXACTLY-answers... Anyway, by God's grace, I still managed to get an A1... even though I normally score 70 and below...
Just like BM karangan, it was the LAST time I ever going to touch the History textbooks and write historical essays of Kerajaan Maritim and whatsoevah! Many of us proposed a large scale fire burning ceremony of Sejarah Revision Books and Textbooks. After done with all the painstaking memorisation, it felt like tearing the books apart into bits and POWDER! very powderful eh my England? This historical day can't never be forgotten... when I passed all the accursed books to my fellow Science and Maths Society AJK... mwahahahaha!!!!
And Sejarah isn't just hated for its boring-ness, but its so called neutral-maybe-too-religious-stand. Found this interesting blog who commented on Jahiliah...as you know Jahiliah means stupid and KNOW NOTHING.... bodoh, jahil, dungu! And one of the religions the jahiliah practise is SAMAWI - orang Yahudi dan Kristian... maybe you should read more on the link at the bottom of the post...
Recently I had emails which said that Hang Tuah is a Chinese and because of that the panel of writers scrapped it off from the syllabus...and then ever wondered why the four Khalifahs (or Khulafa, oh dear! I remember the horrible plural form!) is always ganti-ed? Check it out for yourselves. They actually plotted and killed each other...
